KIln USE

Collections and dropping off work take place Mondays or Thursdays 12.30am-1.30pm or 4.30pm-5.30pm.

Please calculate the litres for firing your work and make payment before you arrive. Prices below are 1 unit for a litre.

How to calculate your pots for kiln hire: Measure the external dimensions (including appendages) in centimeters, multiply the figures together, then divide by 1000 to get the litre volume. For example 10cm cube is 1 litre, a 20cm cube is 8 litres. You would then add all the items total litres together and enter that value into the box on the correct product page for the firing you require.

For makers that run through our kiln hire service.
Work is taking 2 weeks to process

Kiln firing to Glaze, please make sure all clays and glazes are compatible with our high firing temperature. Measure your wares (length x width x height) and add how many litres it comes to add that value to the cart.

Please make sure you calculate properly any orders that are too low a value for the amount of work will not be fired.

If you have any issues with the maths please email us for help.

Glaze items, we recommend delivering with small batts in case of glaze running its easier to save your work than chipping off a kiln shelf.

Collecting the work is the same days and times, we will inform you of them coming out the kiln. Please email to inform us of your collection date.
